Its been 10 years since the circus came to Benidorm and it has been delighting holiday makers and residents alike for a decade with its modern take on the traditional big-top experience. Now with its latest show going Live this summer, Cool FM gives you a sneak insight into a circus experience like non you have seen before.

Take a Listen to Cool FM Interview:

For the first eight years, Ringmaster & Manager David Climent explained, the circus took a more traditional performance path while always striving to introduce guests to more innovative takes on the original routines.

Unlike some Circus’s you may have seen, the Benidorm circus does not include any animal acts, in fact its their number one rule. A circus is for human performers and animals should exist only in their natural habitats, something David feels very strongly about.

Following their original successful run it was decided that a new direction was needed for the show in order to ignite a whole new generation of Circus lovers, and the Benidorm Magic Circus was born.

Walking down past the Benidorm Palace towards the circus its hard not to notice the sweltering heat of a July evening, so its a much appreciated surprise to find the big-top is fully air-conditioned and complete with refreshment stands selling everything from cold drinks to popcorn. There is nothing more important than feeling relaxed and comfortable when settling in to watch a 2 hour show.

The tent holds approximately 600 people in the round with the main stage area dressed in the latest modern technology, lighting and effects with cleverly placed stage props to give you a sense of something exciting yet to come.

The cast and crew present you with an inspiring magical journey in this all new-look show which is guaranteed to entertain all the ages. The show is hosted mostly in Spanish with English interpretations included along the way, although you do not need to speak either language to understand exactly what is happening.

Throughout the extravaganza you are captivated by a modern interpretation of the circus clown, entertained by a hilarious audience participation feature you will not be expecting and amazed by cutting edge illusions performed right in front of your face by master illusionist and Magic Circle member David Climent.

There’s even a strong family connection at work within the circus team itself with an incredibly funny yet perfectly performed routine by the youngest members of the cast who are not only great showman but have clearly learned a thing of two from their world-famous juggling father, Paul Ponce, on how to wow audiences with an unbelievably skilful performance.

Without a doubt there is something in this new show for everyone from small close up magic to big stage theatrical illusions, a show that will have you feeling like you are sat in the front row of a Britain’s Got Talent final with the very best of entertainment laid on just for you.
