Behind The Presenter:

I am best known for appearing on the Benidorm TV show as the resident singer in Neptunes Bar. I’ve been a professional singer and entertainer since appearing on Stars In Their Eyes in 2004. Nowadays you will most likely see me on the theatre stage, either in pantomime or in the first UK tour of Benidorm Live! Starting in September 2018.

1) What led you to a career in radio?

I’ve been a guest on lots of radio shows and always fancied giving it a go myself. I was Kindly asked to contribute an hour long show each week and jumped at the chance.

2) What is your routine before starting your show?

I research the artiste I’m doing a show about that week and put the playlist together. This can be difficult cramming in the greatest hits in one hour but fun listing to a different artiste each week.

3) What is the most challenging part of the job?

Trying to sound eloquent!

4) Who is your favourite music artist and why do you like them?

Freddie Mercury. Because the man was a king amongst men. The greatest voice, the greatest showman, the most inspiring artiste of all time.

5) Do you have a favourite hobby outside of radio?

I love to travel and explore new places. I get very itchy feet and have to have trips booked to look forward to.

6) What music do you listen to when you’re not working?

I’m usually listening to something I have to learn for an upcoming show or gig. I just did a swing gig and it took me a full year of listening to Rat Pack music on repeat to learn!

7) What advice would you give people who want to work in radio?

Don’t swear.

8) Be honest, best decade for music?

The sixties. Such classic innocent music. I don’t think we’ll ever hear music like it again.
